If you are interested in journalism career, The Guardian is conducting an insight into journalism day on Thursday 23 July 2015 with the opportunity to speak to journalists and editors. This event is free and lunch will be provided. Expect that the demand will be high and places are limited.

To apply, simply email educationcentre@guardian.co.uk by 12:00 Tuesday 30 June 2015 with the following "Insight into journalism – Thursday 23 July 2015 request" in the subject field. State your college or university and if you are an undergraduate or postgraduate.

In no more than 250 words, explain why you want to get into journalism and give some examples of experiences. Within this 250 words, answer the following questions:

Why do you read the Guardian or Observer? Which three Guardian or Observer journalists inspire you and why? What are your favourite three sections of the Guardian or Observer and why?

Successful applicants will receive an email on Thursday 2 July.2015.

Please be reminded that this is an offer to over 18's only. Only one place per person and if you do not attend, this cannot be transferred to anyone else.
