Clarendon is one of the major University’s scholarship schemes at the University of Oxford, offering around 140 new scholarships each year.

Value of the award
The fund cover all tuition and college fees, and offer a generous annual grant for living costs.

-Clarendon Scholarships are awarded based on outstanding academic merit and potential to graduate students from all around the world.
-All applicants for graduate study at the University of Oxford are eligible. Clarendon scholars come from all continents in the world: from the USA to Australia, Venezuela to Vietnam and from Norway to Nigeria!
-All degree-bearing courses at graduate level are eligible. Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma courses are not eligible for this scholarship.
-Candidates applying to start a new master's or DPhil course at Oxford are eligible.

Selection Criteria
Generally, applications are assessed against the following criteria: Academic record, aptitude for the proposed course of study and student motivation.

If you apply for a full- or part-time master's or DPhil course at Oxford by the January deadline for your course, you will automatically be considered for a Clarendon Scholarship. Applications for entry in 2016-17 can be submitted from 1 September 2015. If you wish to be considered for Clarendon, you must apply before the January deadline for your course.
